Good evening panda friends! First of all, I would like to share a new corner in panda class with you-our reading corner!!! It's a nice and cozy place for students to sit there and pick some their favorite books! Thank you for parents who came to assemble the furnitures!
In science this week, we finished our investigation about mass by comparing different objects in the classroom and outside the playground. The question was "Can a small object have greater mass?"
In math this week, we did another museum walk for "Making a possible one whole by using the unit fraction". Look how creative they are!
Another exciting event of last week is our field trip to the Cleveland Orchestra! We learned different instruments in the orchestra and how they create beautiful music together!
Also, thank you for parents who brought some valentines gift to share! It's so nice to see our little ones pass their kindness to each other!
Reminders for the upcoming week:
1. Monday Feb 18 - No school, Presidents' Day
2. We are running out of classroom snacks. If you could bring one or two snacks to share with class that will be wonderful! I would recommend party size snacks like animal crackers, cheese balls, pretzel sticks etc so that I can pass a small portion each time.
3. Friday Feb 22 will be the vocabulary parade in the morning, and Chinese New Year celebration in the afternoon.
4. Math learning schedule: Module 5 Lesson 14 (Tuesday), Lesson 15 (Wednesday) Lesson 16 (Thursday) and Lesson 17 (Friday). Please finish the lesson at home according to the schedule if you will be absent. A very useful website which including each lesson's short video, conceptual learning, and homework guide: embarc.online/course/view.php?id=40
